Without Love

Twirling memories churn the dust settled on my welcome mat, spinning dreams thought lost...
today swing wide the door
once locked by betrayal.
Spider webbed windows...
confrontation ignored.
Throw open the curtains,
break through shattered glass...
Hearts will not mend without love.

Night Tears

Tears avalanche
snowballing
across the wilderness
of me...
frozen relief
the formalness of grief
Spring's thaw...
weeps a trickling rain...
gentle to my earth
April showers bloom the lilacs...
busied bees boil golden brew
honey coated
liquid sunshine
in my mind
a storm
of truth.
Night tears run their course...
bleeding ache from
heart flushed eyes,
puddles made
from sadness drained...
letting go
of you.
Daisy petal plucking
questions surface
pearly tears to
flood away
love's
passion
shared.
Forget
Release
Discard
dead blooms
of flowers past
Weary eyes rest
in resigned slumber
while my soul sleeps to
dream new love.
